Gardening classes give students an inspiring way to welcome spring—or let them develop their artistic talents at any time of the year by creating a miniature garden. Spring gardening teaches students about the natural world and gives them practical gardening skills, while making a miniature garden enhances dexterity, organizational skills and imagination.
Our Spring Gardening students select a plant and a pot for their gardening project, learn about plant care and go home with a beautiful potted plant that will grow along with them. Miniature Gardening students are able to choose from a wide array of decorative miniature garden elements for their project. Instructors guide them as they dream up a garden design, choose their elements, and artfully arrange them in a terrarium bowl to bring home.
Students celebrate their gardening accomplishments with a sand party, before winding down with exercises and relaxation techniques. All plants and materials are provided.
