Create-a-Pal class combines creative fun with social connection to give students a joyful interactive experience and a cuddly new friend to take home. Making their own bear, playing and listening to stories helps develop students’ social, relationship and attention skills.
Students can choose bears to stuff in a variety of sizes and colors, along with outfits, accessories and shoes. After stuffing and dressing the bear, each student names his or her new friend and spends time playing with other students and their new friends. Instructors guide the process, then settle everyone in for a little story time.
Classes are held in an inviting studio setting to make everyone feel at home, and students leave with their new pal in a special carrying bag, along with a birth certificate. All materials are provided.
